PKO Balanced Open-end Investment Fund

PKO Balanced is one of the oldest and most popular funds in PKO TFI’s offer. By now its customer base has grown to several hundred thousand people and the Fund is considered one of the most favourite on the market. The balanced portfolio is distributed among relatively safe financial instruments, such as treasury bills and bonds as well as blue chip equities traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, which, though bearing a higher risk, enhance the fund’s potential for satisfactory investment performance. Due to the equity component of the fund’s portfolio, one should take into account the possibility of considerable investment value fluctuations in the short-term. Therefore, the fund should rather be seen as a medium- to long-term investment.

Description of the Fund

The fund invests in financial instruments with a stable income (treasury bills and bonds) and instruments bearing a higher investment risk (equities). The fund allocates its assets in Polish and foreign securities while aiming to limit the investment risk. Due to its overweighing in equities, one should take into account high periodic fluctuations of investment value in the short term.

Investor profile

The fund is directed at customers who:

  • accept the high share of equities in the Fund’s portfolio and the resulting elevated level of risk;
  • seek regular savings, even in small amounts, to finance their future expenses (children’s education, additional retirement benefits, housing needs);
  • are ready to face periodic fluctuations of participation unit value.
