PKO Money Market Open-end Investment Fund

PKO Money Market invests in money market instruments and PLN-denominated deposits. It offers the highest level of investment security among all PKO funds. It is the perfect solution for companies and institutions wishing to allocate their financial surplus for a very short period of time and willing to accept a limited level of investment risk. The Fund’s Manager seeks to ensure a competitive level of risk as compared with bank deposits. Full liquidity of the investment enables the customer to withdraw his/her funds at any time.

Description of the Fund

The Fund’s Manager seeks to ensure a competitive profitability of the Fund as compared with overnight deposits or longer-term deposits, while maintaining full investment liquidity. It ensures the highest level of investment security among all of the funds offered by PKO TFI.

Investor profile

The fund is directed at customers who:

  • accept only a limited level of investment risk and are willing to allocate their cash for a short period of time (up to one year) at a level only slightly above the interest rates of bank deposits.
  • pursue their own business and are looking for a modern and convenient form of short-term financial surplus management.

Highest standards of security

PKO Money Market meets the standards stipulated in the Ordinance of the Minister of Finance (dated 20th August 2004) regarding the conditions which must be fulfilled by money market funds.. Pursuant to the Ordinance, the fund’s portfolio may include only money market instruments:

  • with a high short-term rating of at least one of the three generally recognised rating agencies (A3 Standard&Poor's, P3 Moody's, F3 Fitch Ratings),
  • or issued/guaranteed/underwritten by an issuer/guarantor/underwriter holding such a rating;
  • denominated in Polish zlotys.

Fees and total costs

Handling fee discounts are granted on the basis of the total value of investments accumulated by the participant in all PKO funds. Total limited costs in the PKO Money Market Open-end Investment Fund amount to no more than 1% per annum.

  • INDIVIDUAL CHOICE OF SAVINGS MODE – you may invest in individual PKO funds or use special investment schemes. Accumulated assets may also be used as collateral for loans and credits.
  • SECURITY – PKO investment funds are subject to legal regulations ensuring high security of the invested assets. The fund participants remain exclusive holders of the cash accumulated in the fund.
