PKO Equity New Europe invests in blue chip equities quoted on the stock exchanges of the so-called New Europe. Just as in the case of other equity funds, the investment strategy has been developed with a view of long-term investments. The Fund aims at a long-term increase in asset value as a result of the growing value of its allocations by investing in Polish and foreign securities. We recommend it to persons expecting higher returns, but accepting high periodic fluctuations of participation unit value.
The basic fund allocations include equities eligible and not eligible for public trading in the Republic of Poland and in European Union member states, with emphasis on the new member states: Czech Republic and Hungary. The total value of equity allocations amounts to at least 60% of the fund’s total asset value. Allocation in debt securities may not exceed 40% of the portfolio. Due to the overweighing in equities one should take into account considerable investment value fluctuations in the short term.
