PKO U.S. Bonds (USD) invests primarily in short-term debt instruments denominated in US dollars. These are mainly securities issued, endorsed or guaranteed by the federal government of the United States of America, its agencies or the Federal Reserve System, as well as by supranational institutions domiciled in the United States of America, such as the International Monetary Fund and entities belonging to the World Bank Group. The subfund is managed actively. Units are valued in US dollars, which means that both payments into the subfund’s account and redemption payments are made exclusively in this currency. Transfers out of this subfund are possible only to the PKO U.S. Equity (USD) Subfund, which is denominated in the same currency.
Additional information
The tax base for capital gains tax on investments in subfunds denominated in foreign currencies is determined in Polish zloty using the relevant average exchange rates of the National Bank of Poland. It should be noted that, as a consequence, the amount of tax due expressed in Polish zloty also depends on changes in exchange rates.
